FLMCC 2019 STOCKING STUFFER DRIVE

In collaboration with the wonderful team at Amazing Grace Food Pantry in Middletown, Connecticut, FLMCC is holding a “Stocking Stuffer Drive” to provide the children of the Pantry’s shoppers with gifts of coloring books and crayons, candy canes and suitable small toys.

The Amazing Grace Food Pantry helps about 1,000 families in Middletown and the surrounding areas have access to nutritious food, every month. Many of these families have children. Kathleen Kelly, Program Director, and her staff and volunteers are also active in ensuring that these families enjoy the holidays.

FLMCC is pleased to partner with the Pantry and has been helping to provide warm hats and hand warmers. We are now also collecting donations to assist with Christmas cheer in the form of small toys, coloring books and crayons, and candy canes that can be used as stocking stuffers for the children in the families the Pantry serves.

Your generosity will assist FLMCC and the Pantry in this holiday activity and will be greatly appreciated. Funds collected will be used to provide needed items. If you are making a financial contribution, please remember to note “FLMCC Stocking Stuffer Drive” for our records. As a reminder, FLMCC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which means that your donations are tax-deductible.

Your donations make a difference!

We at FLMCC want to thank all our supporters and donors and we hope you have had a good start in the New Year!

Your donations are crucial to the work we do. In the past few months, some of these funds have been used to provide assistance in Florida in support of a project to provide school kits and book bags for children in need of school supplies, while other funds were used in support of two projects to provide foodstuffs for two shelters serving the homeless in the greater Orlando area. Specific donations to our heating fund were used to provide heating assistance for three families in South Dakota.

(Above) Your donations allowed FLMCC to provide 24 school children in the Orlando, FL region with basic school kits complete with quality book bags.

(Below) Thanks to your support, FLMCC was also able to participate in food drives to help shelters meet nutritional needs for the homeless in the greater Orlando region.

Winter 2016 Heating and Propane Campaign

It already feels really cold and it’s only October. Out on the Great Plains people are preparing for winter.

On the Native American reservations in South Dakota, many families are struggling to make ends meet. In winter, the need to keep a steady supply of propane or pay the electricity bills adds to the burden and sometimes families find themselves running low on the necessary funds to keep their tanks filled or electricity on, between income checks. It can really come down to paying for heating and putting food on the table.

When the temperature falls below zero and the winds pick up, propane is used up faster. This makes it an everyday challenge to keep homes warm and hot water heaters operational.

Freddy & Little Massi Calling Corp has as a fundamental mission to assist families in South Dakota in this type of urgent situation. We work directly with the propane and electricity companies involved to ensure that families with children or elders do not find themselves with no heat when wind chills can reach -40°F.

But we can only help as far as our funds allow. Propane for one week costs a minimum of around $200 depending on current prices. That’s why in order to continue to help, we need your support.

Please consider a donation, no matter how small, to our Propane and Heating Fund. You can contribute to our work to help ensure that heating and electricity remains available for families with children and elders on the South Dakota reservations by donating securely online via PayPal – just click on the “donate” button on this page – or if you prefer you can send a check to “FREDDY & LITTLE MASSI CALLING CORP”, 1031 Cumberland Ter,  Davie, FL 33325. All donations are tax-deductible in the United States.

Thank you for your gift and for allowing us to carry on with our work which has helped dozens of families stay comfortable in winter since 2012.

Debbie & Ray Hirsch

Thank you so much!!! Your consistent support is so very appreciated!

Food and clothing assistance needed

food supplies June 28 2016

A few weeks ago, Freddy & Little Massi Calling Corp assisted a grandmother in South Dakota, Dollie Red Elk, with her utilities bill so that she could recover her service and be able to cook and have hot water again. Dollie contacted us this week to thank everyone again for this help and say that she had been able to make arrangements to help her keep the bill covered in the future, but that this had left her with very little for groceries until her next social security check arrives at the end of July. $200 in food stamps do not go far to meeting the nutritional needs of growing children; there is a food pantry where she can get some supplies this month, but with a 7-year old girl and two teen grandsons in her charge, she feared she would  not be able to meet the family’s grocery needs or the coming month. Your donations will allow us to provide a little assistance with groceries so that Dollie can make sure the children get nutritious meals every day until she gets back on her feet.

We have also had a request for assistance with clothing for a single father on the Pine Ridge Reservation who has four children aged 7 to 13. He and the children are currently homeless and any help you may be able to provide so that we can ship a few clothes to tide the family over would be much appreciated. If you have clothing you think might be suitable, please feel free to leave a message on our Facebook Page.

You can make a secure, tax-deductible donation on our Home Page (PayPal buttons at the top and bottom of the page) or by clicking on the “Donate Now” button at the top of our Facebook Page. Or if you prefer you can mail a check to the address in the image at the top of this page. And if you shop on Amazon, please consider making Freddy & Little Massi Calling Corp your preferred charity through Amazon Smiles!

Thank you all so much for your help! It is so very appreciated!

We need your support!

WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE. TEAM EFFORT AND DONATIONS ARE THE KEY INGREDIENTS TO OUR EFFORTS. Everyday we get requests for assistance & too often we have to turn down some and prioritize help which sometimes seem unfair. Please join us to get this done right.
