One of the most massive actions FLMCC has undertaken was to get an entire truckload (as well as a personal carload) of good secondhand clothing, household goods and other everyday necessities to the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota in 2012. These goods had been donated by the caring and generous people in Queens, NY and elsewhere, and with the help of hard-working and loyal supporters, logistics and administrative obstacles were overcome to get these goods out to the People. The video below shows the truck on Rosebud and the people enjoying the moment choosing the things they need.
We hope to be able to get more of this type of donation out to those who need it on the Reservations, but it takes a lot of hard cash to pay for the shipments and we need a hand with this. We also ask you to remember that we are currently planning our budget to be able to assist households with children and elders with their winter heating needs, when called upon. If you can, please use the “DONATE” button on this page to make a secure donation, or go to our “DONATIONS” page here to find out how you can help. Thank you in advance for your support.
